Hydraulic Oils

We primarily test the hydraulic oils in our laboratories for aging, contamination and viscosity.

Some important criteria are good viscosity temperature behaviour, a low pourpoint, high flash point and good air and water separation characteristics.

Since an extensive analysis will be relatively expensive, we offer a special programme on request  to obtain a rough overview of the complete status (viscosity, contamination, demulsibility).

Chemical Analysis of Hydraulic Oils

• Viscosity, kinematic at 40°C and 100°C
• Viscosity index
• Insoluble parts (solids)
• Flash point (COC)
• Additive content
• Abrasion elements (wear elements)
• Air separation characteristics (LAV)
• Demulsibility (separation time of the emulsion from water and oil)
• Particle count (Purity classes according to ISO 4406)
• Aging characteristics (TOST) with water/copper/iron
