Wood Chips and Pellets

In wood chips and pellets, we normally investigate the:

Wood Chips

Wood chips are wood pieces reduced in size by cutting devices. Shredded chips are, however, made by crushing wood with blunt, smashing tools.

Wood chips are primarily used as raw material for the wood-processing industry as well as biological and regenerative fuel. Depending on the source, bark or wood chips are also used.

Wood Pellets

Wood pellets are rod-like pellets used as fuel. They are completely or largely made of wood or sawing by-products.

The pellets have various advantages over other biological solid fuels such as the automated use as fuel in special pellet burners. Besides wood pellets, there are also larger briquettes made from wood shavings.
